GUI (Graphical User Interface)

By default When we start AutoCAD we get the interface of 2D Drafting and Annotation.

How to reset the Interface and parameters of AutoCAD.

Step Below:-
  1. Right-Area click on Drawing Area 
  2. Goto OPTION
  3. Profile
  4. Reset
  5. Yes
  6. Apply & Okay

How to change color Theme look like an older version of AutoCAD

Step Below:-
  1. Right-click on Drawing Area
  2. Goto Option
  3. Display
  4. color
  5. Restore classic color
  6. Restore
  7. Apply & Close

Type of Unit and How to set Unit

There are two types of units

  1. Working Units
  2. Unit to be Displayed
Working Unit:- For the working unit Typing UN ENTER and select the Unit
Display Unit:- For Displayable Unit Typed D ENTER


Important Notes:-

Always-ON OSNAP, OTRACK, DUCS

Right-click   ON OSNAP in DS Toolbar, then select Setting, click On select ALL okay


Mouse Operation:-

A mouse is compulsory while working on AutoCAD.

Zoom In/Zoom Out - Scroll in/Scroll out

PAN:- Press and Hold Scroll Button and move the mouse around the screen as per the requirement.

For Regenerating Command Typed RE-ENTER


FUNCTION TOOLS:-

If you are using Laptop then first you need to press the Fn button then use this function and you can lock/unlock the function key by pressing Fn and Esc.

F1   - HELP
F2   - COMMAND BOX TOGGLE
F3   - 2D OSNAP ON/OFF
F4   - 3D OSNAP ON/OFF
F5   - ISOPLANES (change plane in isoplanes)
F6   - DUCS ON/OFF
F7   - GRID ON/OFF
F8   - ORTHO ON/OFF
F9   - SNAP ON/OFF
F10 - POLAR  TRACKING ON/OFF
F11 - OBJECT SNAP TRACKING ON/OFF
F12 - DYNAMIC INPUT ON/OFF


First, we have learned How to draw any object with the help of line command by coordinating system.

There are three types of coordinate systems in AutoCAD.
  1. Absolute coordinate
  2. Relative coordinate
  3. Polar coordinate
